Figurative Writing

O’ spider will you dance (personification), and kill the fiend (hyperbole) so I too can dance,” enchanted by the old shaman. This is a spiritual ritual of my tribe, involving the use of ten spiders and some bizarre spells for protection of one’s home from jeopardy or danger. There are also some spells that can make a person as strong as an elephant (simile) and as quick as a leopard (simile). This has been practised for hundred of years and is one of the unique characters in our tribe. The old shaman is my great grandfather and aged 121 years old. He is old at age but young at heart (metaphor).

Idiomatic Expression Essay

Izzulkarnain have a bad hair day. In this whole week, he was cheesed off with his twin sister, Izzati. His twin has always made him blows a gasket with anything they can argue about. Yesterday, the brother has a bone to pick with the little sister and unfortunately the brother cut no ice with her attitude of making much ado about nothing.  “Poor him,” I told to myself.
On the next day, their father got home and saw them argued like cat and dog. I’ve told him that the twin have been like this in this whole week. The father decided to clear the air and do some blame storming with them. The twin told everything to their father. The father smiled. Then, he talked to them nicely and shows great fatherhood. In the end, the twin apologised to each other and to their father as well.
From a distance, I smiled and felt so happy just by looking at them. Dear me, the father has already home and I haven’t serve him a cup of coffee yet. Such a bizarre family I have and yet I’m perfectly contented with it.

Report: Wireless Connection in the Hostel

Wireless Connection in the Hostel

Wireless connection has been used up in many ways in these days. One of the ways is to help the students to access internet to search for information in their studies. As the results, the administration agreed to install wireless connection's modem in the hostel.

In this day, this service has improved the learning skills of students and helps them to score better marks in exam or the assignments. In addition, students can also have fun and exchanges information through social networking, such as the most popular Facebook. Beside that, students can kill the time playing game online or something similar.

This type of connection is known as Wireless LAN (Local Area Network) which can be access within the range of the network; in this area of the institute. Although, there are some line connection is encrypted; locked for some reason unless you have the code key. However, wireless connection have a few difficulties in certain conditions.

Wireless connection used signal frequency to work. If there is a frequency disturbances, the wireless connection cannot interpret data properly, causing some web pages cannot be download completely and take more time. The disturbances can be caused by other frequency such as radio frequency or solar flare by the sun. Another is the conditions of weather especially rain.

As a conclusion, wireless connections network provides an endless help to the users especially students. Although there are pros and cons, the most important thing is how the students make use of it. This network's cost is cheaper than other type of network connection. Students must always make a good use of it and take a good care of this facility in the hostel.

Hobbies and Interests

If you have a spare time, what will you do? Are you going to stay still like dummy and do nothing? Of course you don't. People have hobbies and interests.

Hobbies or interests is a physical activities that one person have and like to do during his/her spare time. So, a person always have more than one hobbies and interest. Although, there is a huge significant of differences between hobbies and interests.

People have interest first before it evolves to hobbies. This is because people must take their interest in one thing before they began to love it. As example, you wouldn't love football if you don't take interest in it. There, when the interest is build up in you, you begin to search an info about it, you try to learn the football skills and show your passions with friends. As for interests, you only show a glimpse of passion in it, or so they say.

People love to read novels, love to cooks and else. The spare time can be filled with not only the hobbies, but also the learning process in it and the passion to it. Why can't you be?

Life in IPG Kampus Sarawak

It is as very the same as you were at home or at school. The same morning, the same routines and anything else. The differences is I live my life here as a teacher in training.

My course here is PSV or Art Visual. It's my strength; drawing, sketching, painting and everything involved with art. The lecturers here are very nice and talented people, every single one of them.
